Queer Summer Fayre is back! After a barn-storming first year, we just had to bring this day of summer fun back to Hackney Wick, and trust us… you will not want to miss it. We’ve got markets, we’ve got cabaret, we’ve got workshops, dancing, activities & fun for the whole queer family!

Queer Summer Fayre is taking place at Hackney Bridge. All activity is happening in step-free locations in the building.

We will have BSL interpreters for the 2 Fabulous Follies Cabaret shows & also all 3 workshops.

We've got three exciting workshops lined up for you. From dance to zine making, whether you're a seasoned pro, or looking to try your hand at something new, there is something for everyone!

Hula-Hooping Is Fun For ALL Ages So Come Join Our Wonderful Workshop Led By Amazi Hoops. Using Adult Sized Hoops, Expect Laughter, Engaging Your Core And Energy Boosting!
Amazí is a 2x Guiness World Record holding hula-hooper with a twist. Originating from East London Amazí draws from her West African roots to inspire her vibrant costumes and performance style, with a touch of mystery. A full time hula-hooper, fire performer and roller-skater, she is also Head of Performance for Guinness World Record Holding hoop troupe Marawa's Majorettes. Amazí has dazzled crowds with her performances worldwide and even starred in West End show Wonderville!

We're delighted to be welcoming back the brilliant Fiona Quadri, to lead a workshop in zine making. Whether you're an avid zine maker or just want to get a taster, this workshop will give you the space to explore ideas of identity, history and heritage whilst making your own mini magazines to take home.
Fiona Quadri is a graphic and illustrative image-maker and workshop facilitator. Within her work, Quadri explores themes of Displacement, Community and Race through the lens of the QUEER BIPOC communities, aiming to break stereotypical viewpoints. She currently pursues postgraduate studies looking at postcolonialism, and decentralising Eurocentric epistemes.

Ever sat at home watching Strictly thinking ‘I want to give my cha cha cha a go!' Well, this is your chance.
Led by brother & sister dancing duo Courtney & Carla, This workshop will be a low-stress, camp hour. For queer angels wanting to dip their toes in some latin/ballroom! Perfect for lovers of dancing/ all abilities / genders. No experience required.
Just fun, queer ballroom antics!

Come for the day & stay for the night with our Queer Summer Fayre After Party. Guaranteed good vibes all round with two of London’s best, Malika Green and Talia A. Darling bringing the dancefloor energy of queer London nightlife, to the canalside.
Expect queer house classics, your fave old school R&B hits & afrobeats…basically, you’re gunna want to dance.
