We are looking for 5 aspiring queer performance makers who have at least two year of experience to develop a 20min work in progress performance.
Do you have an idea and need support getting it off the ground? We want to offer a place where you can experiment with your ideas, receive support in understanding them and test them in front of an audience both live and digitally.
Whether you are a cabaret performer who wants to make longer form performance, a theater maker who needs a stage or a dancer who wants to explore movement, a live artist or a spoken word performer
We’d love to hear your ideas!!
What we are looking for…

The commission will be awarded to artists who identify as LGBTQIA+
-
Artists based in London
-
Artists that have been making performance work for over two years (this doesn't mean you have to have performed on the biggest stages or exhibited in the biggest galleries)

Artists who are interested in developing & performing live work with a digital offering to accompany the piece

The development of 20 mins of material to share at the live performance
-
A sound aspect to your performance – be it a voiceover, narration or anything else creative and related to sound.

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate commitment to pursuing performance as a career and will commit to group sessions.

Our expectations of artists
- attendance at regular check-ins with the Raze producing team, on a mutually agreed schedule.
- attendance at the workshops organised through the commission.
- agreeing to a reasonable schedule of rehearsals, deadlines and work-in-progress sharings.
- participation in a final performance, in person and digital.
- reasonable support in the promotion & marketing of this project with your own networks.
Artists should expect from us
- clear & open communication with the team
- check-ins with the producing team
- directing support, sound design & production for their work.
- reasonable flexibility around meetings & schedule
- that any access provisions specified by the artist in their application, are met by the Raze team throughout the project.
